Hello,

We are Candan and Başar. We are two travelers who are constantly questioning life, enjoying discovering new things, meeting new people and cultures, and always embracing change and transformation. Fortunately, our paths crossed in 2017 during this journey called life and we have united our pursuits under a common roof ever since. From the day we met, we have always questioned ourselves and each other, asking what we can discover and what we can do. In the early stages of this journey, we came to the conclusion that we needed to say goodbye to our regular jobs and dedicate more time to exploring ourselves and our dreams. We decided to fulfill our shared dream of owning a caravan, which is something many people have at some point in their lives. In May 2018, we purchased our first caravan, Transporti, and began our “vanlife” adventure with no predetermined route, allowing the road to take us wherever it led us for 4.5 months. We discovered that there was actually much more to explore than we thought and that caravan life had become an indispensable part of our lives.

When we bought our caravan, we had a hard time finding a model that suited our style and was not a standard design available in Turkey. Therefore, when we returned to Istanbul, we started to make caravan conversions using our own caravan experience, with the goal of sharing our experiences with like-minded people, and thus Atölye Vanda was born. Since 2018, we have been making caravan conversions at our workshop in Kartal, Istanbul, designing and creating everything necessary for living in nature.
